msaa state results
Congrats to the girls track team as they placed 1st in the Division 1 State Meet! After some confusion at the end of the meet the meet officials met with the coaches and explained the outcome. Both teams ahead of Davis were club teams who entered athletes from more than one school, disqualifying them from the team standings.
Congrats to the Girls on BACK to BACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!

2013 Track season information
Track practice will be after school, Monday through Friday, from 3:25 to 5:30 pm. Athletes will meet in Mr. Obrynba's room at 3:20, do not be late. Please be appropriately dressed for practice every day. Athletes interested in running hurdles should plan on staying until 6:00 pm during practice. Always be prepared to go outside! That means: long pants, long sleeves, hats and gloves. Become accustom to watching the weather in the morning. Attendance at practice is mandatory unless a parent sends a note or email prior to practice. All coaches take attendance every day. If a student goes home from school sick the school nurse will notify us.
Make sure you have RUNNING shoes, not cross trainers or basketball shoes. We do a lot of running, especially the distance runners. Proper shoes will help keep you healthy and injury free. There are plenty of stores around Dublin that offer discounts if you tell them you are running for Davis Middle School.
Eating healthy will make a huge difference in your ability to perform, not only in track but at school. Make sure you are eating a healthy balanced diet, and staying away from junk food like candy, soda, and chips. Also make sure you have your own water bottle EVERYDAY! Proper hydration is a big component to improving as an athlete. Do not share water bottles, that leads to sickness spreading throughout the team. Come prepared for practice!
